<p>Bengaluru: Minister for Kannada and Culture Shivaraj Tangadagi on Tuesday warned the Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES) against crossing limits lest it invite trouble from angered Kannadigas.</p>.<p>Any attempt by the MES ‘goons’ to start a dispute with Kannadigas would not be tolerated, said the minister. “They are enjoying all the benefits in Karnataka, despite showing their affection to another language. However, Tangadagi also called on leaders in Belagavi to raise their voice against the MES. “If the MES continues to act in this manner, we will file cases and put them behind bars. Kannadigas respect other languages, but others must also love and respect the language and the law of the land,” he added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The state government has already prohibited MES from observing a ‘Black Day’, said the minister, adding that the order would remain in force in the future.</p>
