<p>Mumbai: For the second time in as many months, Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) showered praise on Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, this time for not clearing some "undesirable" names suggested by ministers for appointment of Personal Assistants (PAs) and Officers on Special Duty (OSDs). </p><p>“Political differences aside, I must congratulate the CM, the head of the state administration, to have taken the decision to stop certain people from being appointed as PAs and OSDs…he has taken a tough decision…he has taken the decision for larger interests in the state and we support him,” Raut, the Shiv Sena (UBT) chief spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member, told reporters in Mumbai. </p>.Fadnavis irked by NCP leader Manikrao Kokate over appointment of Private Secretaries, Officers on Special Duty.<p>The issue has come to light after state Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate, who is from the NCP led by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, was upset as his choice of OSD was not approved and had spoken out in public. </p><p>However, reacting to it, Fadnavis said, “Kokate may not know that the right to appoint PS and OSD is with the CM. The ministers send their proposal to the CM, who takes the final decision on it. This is not something new. I had clearly said in the cabinet that you can send the names you want, but I will not approve those whose names are involved in wrongdoings. Till now, I have received 125 names, out of which I have cleared 109. I have not cleared the remaining names because some of them have allegations against them. There are perceptions about them in the ministry that they are fixers. Even if anyone is upset, I will not approve of such people.”</p><p>Raut further said that majority of the names which were rejected belonged to Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's camp.</p>.Maharashtra farmers to get Rs 3,000 more under state-run scheme, says CM Fadnavis.<p>“I have 16 names (which were rejected)….13 are from Shinde Sena and rest from Ajit Pawar’s NCP,” Raut said.</p><p>This is the second time that Raut has praised Fadnavis.</p><p>The previous time Raut appreciated him was when Fadnavis, who is also the state Home Minister, spent the New Year day in the Naxalite-affected Gadchiroli district, where he launched several projects. </p>
